# Domains

Adding a new domain name to our system is also very easy. This article will go over how to add a domain and create a new website as well as adding a domain to redirect to an existing website.

#### Adding a domain and creating a new website

Cali Web Design supports multiple ways to add a new website, either a Node.JS website, Ruby website, .NET Core website, or PHP website.

Step 1: Log in to your Cali Web Design account using our portal at <https://dashboard.caliwebdesignservices.com>

Step 2: Click the Add Domain button and follow the onscreen instructions below:

Choosing an option may be confusing for some users, Don't fret, we are here to walk you through it, simply choose the best website for your needs. If you want us to build the website select blank website, if you have a website built by another agency or developer simply choose upload files, if you want us to build the website or you have a website in a different language choose the corresponding language other than PHP.

If you want to build your website using a site builder we recommend WordPress as a great option to set your website up.

Once you have chosen your option proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: If you registered a domain with another registrar such as GoDaddy, Hostinger, Squarespace, etc. Then choose "I already have a domain" and proceed to fill in the domain name, for workspace, you can select the other domain you have with us as that will set usage limits for the website such as bandwidth and storage.

If you do not have a domain and want a temporary one issued then select generate a temporary domain, contact our sales department at (877)-597-7325 or email us at <support@caliwebdesignservices.com> to order a domain from us so we can replace the temp domain.

In this example, we will have a temp domain generated and we will be using the caliwebdesignservices.com workspace as we have multiple but you normally will have one. Since we will be creating a new website have the hosting type set to: Website Hosting.

Leave everything else set as default and click the "blue add domain" then the system will process the request which should take a few minutes, If you are using a custom domain at a different provider now is the time to update the provider's nameservers.

Cali Web Design's nameservers are:

NS1.CALIWEBDESIGNSERVICES.COM\
NS2.CALIWEBDESIGNSERVICES.COM\
NS3.CALIWEBDESIGNSERVICES.COM\
NS4.CALIWEBDESIGNSERVICES.COM
